Dean's Welcome

Dean Titan community,

I am honored to welcome you to the College of Health and Human Development, home to students, staff, and faculty committed to advancing the health and development of Orange County and beyond. Our college strives to provide exemplary education, research, and community outreach related to health, development, leadership, and lifelong well-being.

We value diversity and inclusion, collaboration, academic excellence, discovery, and accountability. We aspire to foster future leaders committed to equitable and best practices that improve the human condition in a diverse society.

Our college serves approximately 7,000 students who are interested in the following units housed in our college: Department of Child & Adolescent Studies, Department of Counseling, Department of Human Services, Department of Kinesiology, Department of Public Health, Department of Military Science and Leadership, Department of Social Work, and the School of Nursing. Our students are served by over 400 faculty and staff, and our units meet rigorous, national accreditation standards from over 11 accrediting bodies.  Our students will go on to serve our communities as the future healthcare workforce, educators, clinicians, leaders, and researchers. We couldn’t be prouder of how our college serves our community, region, and nation.
