Scholarships and Fellowships
The CSUF MSW program is committed to supporting our students in securing financial assistance to help fund their education. Most university-sponsored scholarships are either need-based or merit-based, and the availability of scholarships and awards depends on current funding levels.

Scholarship for MSW Students
Social Work Diversity and Community Engagement Scholarship
- Amount: $1000 (Subject to Funding)
This scholarship is awarded to continuing enrolled full-time and flex MSW students who have a GPA of 3.5 or above and are in good academic standing. Students must demonstrate active and sustained engagement in diverse communities (e.g., ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc.).
Department of Social Work Titan Shops Scholarship
- Amount: $500 (2 scholarships; Subject to funding)
This scholarship is awarded to continuing enrolled full-time and flex MSW students who have a GPA of 3.2 or above and are in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need through the application process. Current stipend recipients are not eligible.

Scholarship Application Process
Log in to your CSUF Student Portal and search ‘Scholarships’ in the left-side menu bar. Once you are on the University Scholarship Manager Portal page, these are the steps to complete the university application process:
- Select “Scholarship Search”
- In the “Keyword(s) Search” box, type “public health”
- Read about the different scholarships available to you
- At the top of the page, select “Apply Now”
- Select “Student Application”
- If prompted, log in using your CSUF credentials
- Next to “2025 Cal State Fullerton - SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION Academic Year 2025- 2026,” select “Start Application”
- Read the instructions and complete the online application
- If the directions for a specific scholarship ask for any documents (e.g., essay on a specific topic or academic transcripts), and you are not sure where to enter them, you can add them on the last page of the online application, under “Attachments.”

Outside scholarship opportunities are also available, and we strongly encourage students to actively explore and apply for external sources.
