Biosketch:
Dr. Laguna received her BSED degree from Northern Arizona University, her master’s degree in Sport Psychology from CSU Fullerton, and her doctorate degree in Sport Psychology from University of Southern California. She serves as a Sport Psychology consultant for numerous athletic teams where she has provided sport psychology and athletic coaching expertise on a variety of topics. She is currently serving on the editorial board as Section Editor for Physical Education and Athletic Coaching for the
Journal of Sports Science and Medicine. In her spare time she engages in her goal of visiting and hiking in every US national park and skiing in every US state that has snow.
Interest Area:
Applied sport psychology with competitive softball and baseball players; and visual gaze behavior when tracking a pitched softball/ baseball.
Current projects:
Examining effective visual gaze behavior among successful hitters (softball/ baseball) and training unsuccessful hitters to develop a more effective visual gaze behavior.
