Subject Matter Preparation Program - Physical Education
(SMPP - PE)

The SMPP-PE is a list of courses approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) to demonstrate Subject Matter Competency for admission to the Single Subject Credential Program in Physical Education. Completion of the SMPP-PE can be waived by passing the Physical Education subset of the California Subject Exam for Teachers (CSET).

A grade of “C” or better is required for all coursework undertaken to complete the SMPP-PE.
