-
Describe your motivations for pursuing a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology
-
Describe your background and qualifications that make you a strong candidate for our program

Identify your main area of interest (Exercise Physiology, Sociocultural and Philosofical Aspects of Human Movement, Gerokinesiology, Pedagogy, Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, or Motor Behavior) and any particular topics you want to gain more knowledge and/or experience in.

NON-MAJOR APPLICANTS
Students without an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (or equivalent field) will be required to complete a prescribed set of prerequisite courses (9 units)*: a) 1 undergraduate upper division course in the area of study that the applicant plans to focus on (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Sociocultural and Philosophical Aspects of Human Movement, Gerokinesiology, Pedagogy, Sport and Performance Psychology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, and Motor Behavior). This course should be selected in consultation with faculty members from the applicant’s area of study; b) 1 undergraduate course in Human Anatomy & Physiology - this can be a lower division course); and c) 1 undergraduate course in fundamental concepts of statistics - this can be from any major, so if an undergraduate statistics course was taken at any point in an applicant’s undergrad experience, it could be applied here.
*Please note that these courses are pre-requesites for admissions. Some graduate courses may still have other prerequisites. These prerequisite courses do not need to be taken at CSUF. We will consider courses taken at other accredited institutions (including on-line courses) with coursework offered at the upper division level (for all requirements other than Human Anatomy and Physiology). If however an applicant wishes to take these pre-requisite courses at Fullerton, registration is available through the
