The Department of Counseling is a 63-unit clinical mental health counseling program designed to prepare students to meet licensure requirements in the state of California for the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credentials. Students should note that licensure requirements extend beyond the M.S. degree including registration as an Associate, 3,000 supervised hours in no less than two years, and passing official examinations.
