Biosketch
Dr. Greenfader received a Ph.D. in Education, with a dual emphasis in Learning, Cognition, and Development and Educational Policy and Social Contexts, from the University of California, Irvine. Additionally, Dr. Greenfader holds an M.B.A. from California State University, Northridge and a B.M. in violin performance from the University of Southern California. Dr. Greenfader also serves as a Director of Violin Enrichment Programs for the largest afterschool program in Los Angeles.
Research Areas
Dr. Greenfader’s research examines different contexts that promote language and cognitive development, with a focus on dual language learners. Recently, she was involved in a large-scale experimental study which investigated the impact of arts and language integration on the oral language skills of K-2 English learners. Dr. Greenfader’s current projects explore the relationships between language skills, executive function (EF), and academic success in young Latino students.
