Nicole Torres

Nicole Torres

Hi there! My name is Nicole Torres (she/her/ella), and I am a 10th year part-time student in my final year of undergrad majoring in CAS Elementary Settings. I am involved in several clubs on campus (including Cards for Kids, CASSA and Project Propel Club to name a few). I am still figuring out my career goals, but at this time I am using the CAS practicum courses to help me decide if becoming an Elementary Teacher is really what I want to do.  In my free time I enjoy listening to music, spending time with friends and family, creating art whether it is drawing or painting various things (even nail art), and watching shows or movies. I am looking forward to helping however I can!

Emilee Yates

Emilee Yates

Hello everyone, my name is Emilee Yates, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a fourth-year transfer student from Cypress and Fullerton College and a former student athlete (Swimming & Water Polo). I am a Child and Adolescent Studies major with a concentration in Family and Community Contexts and a minor in Psychology. I am working towards becoming a child psychologist to help children who have experienced trauma. I am particularly interested in art and play therapy. I have worked as a nanny for the past ten years, both locally and abroad, in Switzerland and Ireland. When I am not at CSUF, I enjoy spending time at the dog beach with my Portuguese Water Dog, Fraser, swimming, and traveling abroad to explore and learn from new cultures and people. This year I had the opportunity to study abroad to Costa Rica and Argentina with the CAS department and absolutely loved it. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have!
