Casa de la Familia's mission is to address and serve the emotional needs of those who have suffered a psychological trauma in a compassionate, ethical and professional manner. The Health Consumer Action Center is a project of the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. HCAC sponsored by The California Endowment, helps low-income Orange County residents get needed health care services. Shield Healthcare distributes disposable medical supplies to clients at home. They specialize in incontinent, urological, ostomy, respiratory and enteral supplies. The supplies are shipped directly to the client’s home, and the clients are called monthly for follow-up evaluations. Shield Healthcare also provides free product home evaluations. Incontinent sample kits are available free of charge by calling 1(800) 372-6205 ext. 1. Kits contain a full fitted brief, belted undergarment, panty liner and bed pad. In addition, Shield Healthcare has launched their diabetic line. They provide glucometers, test strips, insulin and syringes. They provide an expanded product line to better meet the needs of their consumers.
