Anthony DiStefano, Ph.D., MPH, is a professor in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Fullerton, where he teaches courses on research methods and HIV. Dr. DiStefano conducts international and domestic research on syndemic health and social problems, including mental health, violence, HIV, and social disparities. He uses a social science of medicine approach that involves primarily ethnographic methods informed by demography and epidemiology.
