The CSUF MSW program faculty is deeply committed to advancing the goals and mission of the University and the College of Health and Human Development while integrating the nine core competencies outlined by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) to prepare students for ethical, effective, and transformative practice.

AREA OF FOCUS & CAREER PATHS 

The  Master of Social Work (MSW)  degree at CSUF prepares professionals for  direct social work practice  with vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged populations in  multicultural settings. Through the  Master of Social Work Association (MSWA), students gain access to  community support,  peer connections, and  professional development  opportunities.

The program offers three specialized  areas of focus:

  • Child Welfare
  • Community Mental Health
  • Aging
