SERGEANT FIRST CLASS RAUL RIVAS
SFC Rivas enlisted in the U.S army in Jan 1995 as an Infantryman-11B and has served as SAW Gunner, M60 Machine Gunner, M60 Assistant Gunner, M60 Ammo Bearer, M203 Gunner, Rifleman, Team Leader, Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant. His current position is Military Science Instructor for the MS III class, and Battalion Training NCO. SFC Rivas has been in various units: A Co 1-503rd In Regt (Air Assault) at Camp Casey, Korea; C Co 3-502nd In Regt (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; C Co 2-35 In Regt, Schofield Barracks, HI; A Co 1-32 In Regt, Fort Drum NY; A Co and D Co 1-505 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg NC. SFC Rivas had opportunities to deploy to Kosovo on a peacekeeping operation with A Co 1-32nd In Regt, Fort Drum, NY and most recently with D Co 1-505 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82ND Airborne Division, Fort Bragg NC to Iraq, and Afghanistan in support of our nation's Global War on Terrorism
