Biosketch:
Dr. Jason Bennett comes to California State University, Fullerton with 20-years’ experience as a faculty member teaching in accredited athletic training programs. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physical Education with an option in Athletic Training from CSU, Chico (1995, 1998), and his Doctoral degree from Middle Tennessee State University (2002). He has been a certified athletic trainer since 1995 and has worked in multiple settings including minor league baseball and NCAA Division I and II athletics as an athletic trainer. Presently, he is the Director for the CSU, Fullerton nationally accredited (CAATE) undergraduate Athletic Training Program and will lead the efforts with CAATE to move the program to the master’s degree level. He has worked tirelessly to advocate for athletic trainers in California and he currently serves as the President of the California Athletic Trainers’ Association (CATA) and previously chaired the CATA Political Action Committee to advocate for licensure of AT’s in California.
