Mission Statement

The Kinesiology and Health Science Student Association is geared toward informing the students of opportunities in the field of Kinesiology and Health Science.

KHSSA works very closely with the KHS academic advising office, as well as with the outstanding faculty here in our department. Together, we can assist students in their quest to pursue a career in the field of Kinesiology/Health Science or a future degree from a Graduate School.

In addition to academic preparation, KHSSA offers special opportunities for students to get involved in, such as: peer mentoring, KHS Book Share, networking, fundraisers, pre-health conferences and much, much more.

KHSSA has also established a great relationship with the Volunteer & Service Center here at CSUF. Various volunteer and community service opportunities are announced on a regular basis and include work with populations with special needs, such as: children, teens, the mentally & physically disabled and the elderly.

Message from the KHSSA Board

Are you a Kinesiology or Health Science major? If you are, then The Kinesiology and Health Science Student Association (KHSSA) is the club for you! KHSSA was founded by the students for the students. The KHSSA Board members are hard working individuals dedicated to serving the students. As a club, we strive to bring the most current information regarding the field of Kinesiology and Health Science to all of our members. We encourage all students to join and have a voice by sharing ideas as well as experiences.

KHSSA is in contact with many Admissions Counselors that frequently visit our campus to educate students on the entrance requirements for various Graduate School Programs. Our annual Pre-Health Conference invites schools from all over the United States to come and speak to our members.

As a part of KHSSA, you will have the opportunity to meet and share experiences with other students who share similar career goals. You will also have the ability to develop leadership skills, meet the faculty members, and help better prepare for your future.

Aside from academics, KHSSA is also about fun! Some of our fundraisers will include sporting events involving the students vs. the faculty! We also plan to take trips to different professional sporting events as well as supporting our own Titans here at CSUF games.
