Dr. Sherman joined the faculty in the Department of Kinesiology in 1998. He received a B.A. in Psychology (1987, CSU Northridge), an M.A. in Physical Education (1994, San Diego State University), and a Ph.D. in Exercise and Sport Science (1998, University of Utah). His current research interests center around teacher and paraprofessional preparation for physical activity instruction. He has published in physical education, coaching, and sport psychology journals. In his spare time he spends time with his family and friends around lakes, rivers, and oceans.
