Biosketch: Dr. Vincent Merrill is an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Health Science at the California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Merrill received his Ph.D in Environmental Health Science and Policy from the University of California, Irvine.
   
Interest Areas: Geospatial and statistical approaches in public health. Topics include: accidental/intentional death and injury prevention, firearm related mortality and morbidity, suicide and legalized gambling, epidemiology of child homicide, and environmental hazards to human health.
   

Current Projects:

1) Gun-in-home risks for firearm mortality by accident, suicide, and homicide; (2) Evaluating the effectiveness of programs attempting to counter tobacco industry influences in the youth community and college campus settings.
