Anthony DiStefano, Ph.D., MPH, is a professor in the Department of Health Science at California State University, Fullerton, where he teaches courses on research methods and HIV. Dr. DiStefano conducts international and domestic research on syndemic health and social problems, including HIV, violence, mental health, and social disparities. He uses a social science of medicine approach that involves primarily ethnographic methods informed by demography and epidemiology.
