Introduction to Ballet Barre
Ballet Barre is a highly efficient workout with movements based on classic ballet positions. This ballet-inspired workout is ideal for individuals looking for an exercise routine to achieve sculpted and lean muscles. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training using tiny, one-inch increments. The smaller movements in a barre class can bring a new level of awareness to the body that you may not experience in regular strength workouts.
This workshop will include exercises performed on floor mats, incorporating a range of Pilates moves to improve strength, tone, and flexibility. Dance experience is not necessary, beginners are welcome.

The Longevity Project, an 8-decade study, followed more than 1,500 individuals who were first assessed as school children in the 1920s. Learn the twelve standing movements that incorporate stretching, balance and coordination into a fun approach to exercise and stretching that is suprisingly easy, but touches every muscle without sitting or lying on the floor. With the use of a stick (provided) that keeps the body aligned, the class will experience a feeling of accomplishment and inner strength. LSA will help keep your body balanced, raise your spirit, and increase physical strength and mental power by stretching the muscles and tendons, and by supplying a greater amount of oxygen into the body through deep breathing.
During this water-based workshop the instructors will blend high-energy Zumba moves with low-impact aqua fitness dacing to music across the decades.
