California State University Fullerton
Department of Counseling

Michelle Gottlieb, Psy.D., LMFT, LPCC

I have been doing psychotherapy for over 25 years, the last 15 in a successful private practice. I specialize in trauma, chronic illness and chronic pain, as well as peak performance. I work with individuals and couples.  I am an EMDR certified therapist and have been practicing EMDR therapy for over 10 years. Please ask me about EMDR. It is a passion of mine that I love to share! I also write two columns for local papers and have had an Internet radio show, as well.

I am also passionate about teaching. It is very important to me that our students are prepared to go out and become strong therapists. I love to teach practicum, the counseling skills class and any class that teaches the hands on skills of becoming a therapist.

One of the things that I most enjoy when working with students is being a resource to them for everything from how to work with a client to how to market their practice. There are many things to learn in order to become a good therapist. My goal is to help you get there.

On a personal note, I really enjoy traveling and triathlons. I like to challenge myself. One of my favorite things to do right now are half-ironmans. I have two children, and been married to the same wonderful man for over twenty years.
