MSAT Prerequisite Courses

Please note that our prerequisite requirements will change beginning with the 2020-2021 application cycle (for those planning to start the program in Summer 2021). The MSAT program requires one (1) semester course in the following areas:

  General Biology
Human Anatomy Human Anatomy
Human Physiology Human Physiology
Chemistry Chemistry
Physics Physics
Psychology Psychology
Nutrition Nutrition
Statistics Statistics
Medical Terminology Medical Terminology
Musculoskeletal or Movement Anatomy Musculoskeletal or Movement Anatomy (recommended, not required)
Exercise Physiology Exercise Physiology
Pathologies in Sport/Exercise (e.g., Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries) Pathologies in Sport/Exercise (e.g., Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries)

Prerequisite Requirements

  • All prerequisite must have been completed within the past 7 years.
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology must be at least: 6 semester units combined OR separate 3-unit courses
  • Students must complete all pre-requisite courses with a grade of “C” or better. Note: a C- does not meet the minimum grade requirement
