Julie Max’s trailblazing accomplishments prove, without doubt, that Titans do indeed reach higher. Defying gender barriers, Julie is one of only a few female head athletic trainers at the Division I level. She served two presidential terms at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association — the first female to take the helm — before entering NATA’s Hall of Fame in 2007. Julie's unwavering dedication to student success, however, is the hallmark of a remarkable career spanning nearly four decades: with the help of “Mama Max’s” training and mentorship, former Titans now sit on the coach’s bench of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Register today and join faculty and staff from across campus for an evening of tributes and remembrance as we wish Julie a happy and healthy retirement after 37 years. The registration fee is $37; one dollar for every year of Julie’s distinguished service! Interested in saying farewell in a video to be played at the event? Please upload your video here by February 8.
