Dr. Kim joined the Cal State Fullerton Social Work Program in 2008. He received his doctoral from USC in May of 2008, an MSW from Michigan State University and a BA in Social Work from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Kim’s teaching interest include policy and practices in social service organizations, nonprofit management, leadership in the social work profession, social work practice in industrial settings, social work research, and advanced statistical methods. His research includes areas of public child welfare and A Longitudinal Study of Job Stress, Health Turnover among California-registered Social Workers. He was the principal investigator for a project to identify organizational factors to reducing physical and mental health problems among service providers. Published in Administration in Social Work, Social Work in Health Care, the Korean Journal of Communication Science, and Aging International, Dr. Kim has continued interest in the areas of child welfare, human service management, occupational health and social work practices, and measurement development and evaluation. In the Fall of 2008, he will be teaching Policy and Social Work and Project Development to the advanced Social Work students. |
