Human Services Student Association (HSSA)
Mission Statement
The purpose of the
Human Services Student Association (HSSA) is to promote professional and ethical
development of its members, to provide opportunities for
interaction between our members, faculty, CSUF administration, to encourage service to individuals, families, and the
greater community, establish friendships, and to recognize high achievement in the pursuit of academic excellence.
How to Join
Thank you for your expressed interest in joining and participating in the Human Services Student Association (HSSA). We are confident you will enjoy and benefit from networking and interacting with your peers, staff, and faculty members. Liftetime Membership is $40.00,which includes an HSSA T-Shirt, membership certificate, earned graduation cord and all of the rights and privileges on any member in good standing. Please complete and submit the membership application, along with the $40.00 Membership fee to the HSSA office in TSU 254 (cash or check) or to the Human Services Department Office in EC 405 (checks only please). An application can be downloaded from the HSSA website, picked up from the HSSA board located on the 1st floor of the EC building or in EC 405.
CORD POLICY: Complete 4 events. Attendance to ONE general meeting is required. Members may attend several meetings but only one meeting will count as an event. TWO community service volunteer projects must be completed. Other events include fundraising events, volunteer events, donation drives etc.
Members are encouraged to come pick up t-shirt and certificates during office hours and or club meetings.
