Biosketch

Dr. Kari Knutson Miller is Chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Studies. She received her Ph.D. in educational psychology from Arizona State University. Kari is currently Chair of the Planning, Resource, and Budget Committee (PRBC) and serves in other campus and professional roles to support teacher preparation, service-learning and internships, international education, and faculty-student research collaborations.  She regularly integrates field-based learning experiences into her undergraduate-level courses and publishes research on participant academic and professional development outcomes.  Kari coordinates the CAS China Cohort experience where undergraduate students facilitate extra- and co-curricular activities for children enrolled in a summer English camp in Shanghai, China.
