
The Child and Adolescent Development (CHAD) major is designed to provide undergraduate students with the knowledge and skills to interact effectively with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of educational and service settings. Coursework examines empirically derived bio-physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive developmental milestones from conception through adolescence; individual differences; and common variations in development while emphasizing critical thinking, information literacy, and communication skills.
